Dr. George is a board-certified psychiatrist with the American Board of
Psychiatry and Neurology. She is a board-certified addiction medicine
specialist with the American Board of Preventative Medicine.
Dr. George completed her undergraduate degree at the University of
Louisiana at Lafayette, earning a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. She
graduated medical school at Louisiana State University Health Sciences
Center in New Orleans, LA. After completing medical school, Dr. George
went on to complete a Psychiatry residency with LSU-Ochsner in New
Orleans.
Both during and after her residency training, Dr. George has focused on
the treatment of Addictive Disorders. She has a passion for effective
medication management of dual diagnosis clients, as well as accurate
diagnosing of psychiatric conditions concurrent with substance use
disorders.
In her free time, Dr. George enjoys spending time with her 2 year old
son and participating in a wide range of physical endeavors, including
weight-lifting, running, and martial arts.
